Degree Finder: Information for Institutions

Progression pathways

The Degree Finder allows students to search for available progression pathways towards achieving a degree after successfully completing a BTEC Higher National (HN) qualification. We work with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the globe to raise awareness and recognition of HNs as a suitable means of entry onto a degree. Progression pathways can come in a variety of forms, indicated below:

• Recognition: as an institution or university, you recognise HNs generally, but students will need to apply to see if they accept your specific HN. You can complete our recognition form here.
• Progression agreements: as an institution or university, you provide guidance on which HN pathways align to which degree programme; and/or international credit transfers.
• Top-up degrees: as an institution or university, you have specific top-up programmes for HN graduates to complete and gain an undergraduate degree.
